Dubai #23: The Heart Grows Fonder

during our busy days… Especially. With our current workload to care and cradle for, there’s a tendency to forget each other’s wants and needs.
Now that we’re working full-time (9-10 hrs daily), the beautiful feeling to fall back into each other arms and have a good tease about anything became a must-do.
In this speedy-paced city, every opportunity we both get to spend time together is all that we yearn for… Just the two of us.

Yes, the past month we argued/ disagreed stubbornly, and some days we even yelled  at one another without valid reasons. But, it is the ‘through thick and thin’ moments that opened our hearts even more, that bonds us even closer.

oh… I still love us!

Dubai #22: Foreign Labourers

Yesterday, like any usual site supervision day, i accidentally saw/ glimpsed (whilst walking down the stairs) at least 2 contractors either scratching/ fiddling their manhood and testicles (with pants on that is) or spitting! Yes, it’s gross and an unpleasant sight…
Thing is, with hundreds of male labourers on board, you can’t expect them to be well behaved first class workers, though i still fizzle and grudge at the sight of their natural male habits, can’t really blame / yell at them can i? I mean, hey! They’re being human, they still need to scratch the itch down there, pick their dustified noses, spit their phlegm and the many disgusting behaviours. Basically site or not, dubai or back home, those habits of theirs won’t change overnight. And tehy are not the sort who’ll volunteerily go to a corner to fiddle/ scratch.

So yeah, working life based at the construction site daily is a real eye opener, a visual exposure (like many) i dislike! Being the few females on site can be stretchingly challenging at times… But what i enjoy most about this work is the ability to maximise practicing my coordination skills live!

Dubai #20: The Rising Heat

It’s beginning of April, rising heat with the current temperature of 35 degrees will continuously increase as the month ends. Today was very humid, the sun back home is different to here, with scorching sun eating into your skin is what i dread now. In 2-3 months it’ll be my first to experience 40 degrees- 50 degrees heat! Sigh.. I do hope i’m still surviving with this extreme sunshine to come.

Meanwhile, i’m hunting for a good proven sunblock moisturiser for my face and body, especially now that i have to be working at the construction site daily, the last thing i need is to look like a tanned turkey!
