I’m crazy over fonts, browsing endlessly, admiring every design and maybe incorporate my favourite fonts in my artwork (am far from doing that).

Anywho… Here’s my fave font for this week:

Recently been browsing through bookstores, googled as well and found some lovely handmade scrapbook designs done by mums out there, scrapbooking about their newborns, their baby first years, their childhood, their pregnancies, and more.

Though it’s time consuming to produce such pretty work, it still inspires me to do up a scrapbook for my babies in future. If i have the chance to be a full-time mum during their infant years, i would want to scrapbook their first words, first crawls, first smile, all their firsts… sweet!

Felt feverish with mild body ache yesterday so i dragged myself to see my family doctor this morning. Thankfully no high fever whatsoever, basically just slight sore throat and mild fever.
Since i’m on medical leave from work today, i drove over to mum’s place right after for lunch, knowing that i’m not well, she made fish (Pak Cheong Yu) porridge which helps soothe the fever and throat. Yum!

All seems fine until i ate my medication, within half an hour i started to feel scratchy and super itchy with weird looking bumps! I was worried and freaked out a little wondering what caused it. I was never allergic to any foods nor medications since young, so i thought maybe it’s a small matter and left it alone… But it just got itchier and bumpier looking, from my hands to my whole body which made me look like a red blobbed lobster!
At that moment i figured it has to be the medication that triggered it, some drug which was never prescribed to me before or maybe new allergies are created as one gets older?
Hmm… Anywho i decided to head home and prayed while giving myself a good scrub over a cool shower.

Was relieved that the redness and itchiness faded within 3 hours.
After researching online, i’m convinced that i’m allergic to one of the meds, as my symptoms and hive rashes are similar to the website’s description and visual.

Looks like i seriously need to go to the doctor soon to get an allergy test, best to know now than to suffer again with lobster red bumpy skin! Eww!

I enjoy Tuesday nights, a night where Doug and i spend dinner time with my family, a time for us to update our whats-going-ons during the week.

The one thing i (still) always look forward to, is my mum’s brewing soups. *Drools*
For the past 10 over years, she never cease to soup for us (of different recipes) thrice a week…
Now that i’m married, it’s once a week.

Soup of the day: Lotus Root Soup (In cantonese: Ling Ngau)

I’m aiming to learn her soup recipes by year-end, when i’m not dragging my feet, that is.

My love for luscious-juicy looking cherries, eventhough it’s RM8.00 for a handful… Eeep!

We woke up real early and headed straight to Putrajaya to submit hub’s application, thank God that it went well, no waiting game, no more add-ons, no more last minute missing informations.

The next thing to do is to wait for a week and check the application status.
As he’s applying for the ‘Temporary Spousal Working Visa’, i don’t see any difficulty for them to approve it, unless… *Shrugs*

The topic hubs and i enjoy talking about.

Most times, we (More of me) can go on and on conversing about it, on about how our kids will look like, on about if they will inherit his fluffy hair, on about if they would have his marble green eyes (More of unlikely), on about who washes baby poop, on about baby names…
Sometimes we even go into baby-talking mode ourselves.. Lol. Mushy! I know.

So… How many we plan, repeat… Plan to have?
Well, at least 2 or maybe even 3.

Actually, I never really thought to want more than 2 kids, but the recent thought and idea of a large family can be so much fun and joyous!

It’s still a plan for now, and plans can/ may change gradually.

Hubs and i normally keeps in touch with the in-laws by skpe-ing, but with the recent many internet interruptions, MIL decided to write and snail mail us her warm loving letters.

The moment i opened the envelope, i just couldn’t help but smile with excitement. Well… Can’t blame me for being emotional, as i haven’t received any hand-writtened letters for years!
As i was reading her every word, i imagined her right beside me telling me her everythings, her regular routines, her creative detailed art pieces, her what’s-going-ons, her sprouting garden, all the chit chats we would catch up together.

She even attached her recent artwork (which i can’t stop admiring) and a latest photo of relatives in England, naming each family member, their relations to each other, and their wellbeing.

Now that MIL re-introduced me to the old-fashion way of corresponding, i shall continue to write and more writings.

That’s what we did today, supposedly to be a simple compile-and-submit task that turned out to be oh-so frustratingly messy!

It’s another episode to this burdensome challenge again!

We had high hopes (with some doubts in the back of my mind) that husband’s spousal application submission would be trouble-free as we’ve had all necessary, unecessary and ‘missing’ required documents! So discouragingly wrong!
Eventhough we had the documents ready, we were told to go to 3 other different places to get duty stamped (in a different branch) and endorsement by the Commissioner of Oath. We knew beforehand and we did have the necessary documents endorsed before doing any submission today, mind you, these new requirements were only added to us when we spoke to the person-in-charge.
The usual last minute add-on-surprises info… Ugh!

You see… If these added application forms and other ‘hidden’ submitting documents/ instructions were visibly well writtened or informed on their website or were mentioned during husband’s visit to the immigration branch elsewhere, it would have made our running-around less stressful!

After a tiring 7 hours, we finally managed to get all documents endorsed EXCEPT the duty stamping, because, they decided to close early! That’s why!
We tried our very best to rush before their expected/ assumed closing time (4-6pm), so when they told us they closed at 3.45pm, we were disappointedly speechless!
That is way ridiculously early to end the working day! How can they work effeciently by closing at 3.45pm! If they’re school teachers or part-timers, yes i wouldn’t grumble, but… But 3.45pm!?
I don’t think any paperwork when involving the government authorities/ departments can be completely done in one day, what a waste of my day-off from work. Sigh!!

I wouldn’t say we had a fruitful day, because some of these hassles were somewhat unexpected.
Husband will be going to the stamping office way early tomorrow again, once that’s done, we’ll have to take leave again and finally submit (I hope).

I guess i’ll be updating again, hopefully with more chirpy words.

Today’s dinner:

Marinated the chicken using my mum’s recipe and turned out edibly tasty!

Will be missing your cute laughs in the office!

Noticed BlackForestHaven, our wedding cake vendor has uploaded our wedding cake in his website:

http://www.blackforesttavern.com/weddingcakestudio.htm  (Our wedding cake is named ‘Blessed Wedding’)
He was the only one out of three suppliers we went to that could make us this cake for RM600, including delivery.

Custom made wedding cakes these days ranges from RM800 onwards, depending on shape, size and tiers, so we were glad to have found him.
